The fashion and accessories firm’s relationship with the premier motoring category has been linked to the figure of its co-founder, Fernando Alonso, since its launch in 2017. With the incorporation of the driver to the British Formula 1 team this relationship was destined to continue and now comes its most special collection to date, with new product categories that complement its already iconic caps.
Alliance with Aston Martin
A long-awaited alliance on which the Spanish pilot has commented: “I am tremendously proud of what we have achieved with Kimoa over the years. The strong commitment to using recycled materials with which we have managed to combine quality, design and responsibility to the environment, have been the result of a strong investment in R&D”. “When we presented the project to the Aston Martin F1 team and passed their demanding filter in terms of quality and design standards, we knew that the effort of these years had been worth it,” he confessed.
Tribute to the Aston Martin colors
The Fernando Alonso collection of the Aston Martin F1 team consists of two T-shirts, two sweatshirts, two polo shirts, a windbreaker and three caps, all in adult size. In addition, Kimoa is launching as a novelty one of the sweatshirts and one of the T-shirts in children’s size. The entire collection is a tribute to Aston Martin’s flagship colors, with green as the protagonist, fluor lime and black, fused with the Asturian driver’s distinctive elements: the number 14 and his iconic lightning bolt logo. This alliance is presented with a new, more urban air, reinventing the classic patterns that maintain the traditional essence of the team adapted to the new times.
True to the brand’s philosophy
This collection is the first work that sees the light of day at Kimoa under the creative direction of María Núñez, who has taken special care in the details of the garments incorporating technical finishes such as thermo-sealing and silicone prints and maintaining the philosophy of the brand with the use of recycled cotton, organic cotton, pre-consumer cotton and recycled polyester.
