Jennifer Lopez continued the celebrations less than two weeks after she and Ben Affleck said “I do” in a wedding in Georgia by posting fresh images from the momentous occasion.
The newlywed reflected on her weekend, which began with a rehearsal dinner and culminated with a glittering reception complete with fireworks, as featured in her On the JLo newsletter.
Looking back on her August 20 wedding, Jennifer said, “For us, this was wonderful timing.” Nothing has ever seemed more right to me, and I knew we were finally “settling down” in a way that is only possible once you have experienced both grief and joy.
Even though there were a few bumps in the road building up to the big day, such as family members getting sick, Jennifer said she had a “quiet and easy certainty” that everything would be okay. Her wedding ceremony was “beautiful,” as it turned out.
The Marry Me actor referred to it as “one of the most perfect of our life.” “We couldn’t be more content. I want everyone to experience the same kind of happiness—the hard-earned variety that is all the more sweet because of the ordeal that preceded it.”
